Emma finally decided that she had to give Kelvin another chance, especially when he wanted to get married. Emma saw a clear difference in Kelvin right at the moment when he agreed to stay at Wenniington for a couple of days.
Kelvin was introduced to the Buttercup members by Emma and she felt proud as she grabbed Kelvin’s strong hands when they walk through the Orchards.
“This place is so beautiful isn't it?” Emma said with a glowing expression on her face. “Mmm hmm” Kelvin replied looking far down at the Corn yard. “Is there anything wrong?” Emma wanted to know.
“Nothing, it’s just. I don’t know how these people live like this. This place is out of services. You can’t even find a place to grab a hamburger properly. These people look naive and rural. They seemed to be stuck in nineties. How did you manage an entire month with them? I mean look at those workers. They don’t look me in the eye” Kelvin complained.
“It’s because they respect you” Emma said narrowing her eyes. She didn't like what Kelvin said because she knew Buttercup was one of the best places she’s been to. “I think that’s being foolish, this is not the medieval era” Kelvin muttered. “Yea whatever” Emma ignored Kelvin as she saw Danny walking through the narrow path.
“Hey Danny” Emma waved.
Danny looked around and saw Emma standing in the Orchard with Kelvin. He had a puzzled look on his face.
“Hi”
Emma grabbed Kelvin’s hands as she ran towards Danny. Kelvin looked totally unapproved of her move. “Geez, my denim” He complained.
“Hey Danny, how’s it going?”
“Ah good” Danny replied looking away. “I just wanted you to meet Kelvin. Well, we got back together” Emma ventured.
Danny stared at them for a while and then he went “Oh congratulations.” And looked away which was another usual behavior gesture by him. Kelvin nodded and completely ignored Danny as he started typing on his blackberry.
“So I gotta go now, see you later” Danny muttered walking away. Emma stared at Danny in a perplexed emotion.
“I’ll be right back” Emma said to Kelvin who was on another world testing.
“Hey, Danny waits” Emma started sprinting to catch Danny.
Instead answering Emma, Danny went inside the barn. Emma had to follow him as she was in urge to talk with Danny. Danny shrugged and turned around at Emma with a strong expression on his face. “Look, if you’re worried that I’m going to spill anything in front of Kelvin about what happened between us. Don’t worry; I never want to spoil your relationship. So now please you don’t have to follow me all around”
“What? I didn't come here because I wanted to zip your mouth. I came here because I wanted to know what’s wrong with you” Emma snarled.
“What difference would it make? You’re leaving soon and what difference would it make if I’m acting different or not.” Danny replied sarcastically looking away.
Emma walked towards Danny as she grabbed by his shoulders. “Danny, Look me in the eye”
“Tell me, what did I do? Why are you ignoring me? Is it about the Halloween night? Look I already apologized. I wish I could rewind things, But I’m sorry I can’t. What’s wrong with you? What’s your problem” Emma cried distinctly uncomfortable.
“You want to know what my problem is. Fine then listen. My problem is you! My problem is that I get to see you everyday; I get to talk with you everyday. That’s my problem!” Danny shouted in a loud voice. Emma could see his eyes were burning with anger.
“But why would my existence matter you? I thought we are friends” Suddenly a tear started rolling down through Emma’s eyes.
“Because…because I don’t want to be friends with you…”
“Because I’m in love with you, I can’t be friends with someone I love”
“I’m sorry Emma, but I can’t deny this feeling. I wish I never met you”
Emma’s heart skipped a beat as she heard those words. Danny’s voice started going round and round in her head as she sighed. “Oh”
“See? It won’t make any difference. Its okay Emma you don’t have to feel sorry for me. I’ll be okay. I hope you’ll be happy with Kelvin”
Emma took her steps backwards slowly as she let go of Danny’s arms.
Emma found her self running away from Danny in to the house, where she cried inside her bathroom while others had no idea what Emma was doing.
Emma spent her last day at Wennington with Melanie. Melanie made her happy. Emma wished she had a child like Melanie.
Melanie and everyone else were all in tears when they said their final good byes to Emma. But for Emma’s sadness she could not see Danny anywhere near. She knew meeting Danny would make her sadder after whatever happened between them.
“I will miss you” Melanie’s words reappeared inside Emma’s head as they went back in to her old apartment in London.
Kelvin said he had arranged a dinner at restaurant for them including Rachel, Justin and others they knew.

“Don’t wear it” “You look pale” Justin complained as he was lying on Emma’s bed at her apartment the next evening. The dinner was an hour away yet Emma couldn't find something perfect to wear.
“He is right, just try something else” Rachel said as she went through Emma’s wardrobe.
Emma tried another dress which was black. Justin raised his eye brows and made a disgusting face. “Noooo”
“Oh” Emma was depressed as she got tangled in her dress.
“So how was your vacation and how’s your Kelvin” Rachel wanted to know.
“Fine” Emma replied shortly looking for more dresses in her wardrobe
“I can’t believe you guys are getting back together. I mean he wanting to marry you is the biggest shock ever” Rachel clapped her hands vigorously.
“I know, maybe he just wanted to make sure that our relationship is heading somewhere” Emma replied as she opened her travel bag.
“I can’t wait to be your bridesmaid” Rachel said.
“Hey, that looks pretty” Justin climbed out of the bed as Emma took her red sleeveless dress out from her travel bag.

Emma, Rachel and Justin were the first to the dinner table at the restaurant. Kelvin was the next to arrive with a beautiful flower bouquet on his hands. Emma smiled and accepted the flower boutique politely. The invited guests started flowing in to the restaurant including Kelvin’s friends.
“I just want to thank you guys for being here tonight. Because today’s a special day for me.” Kelvin said standing up from his seat where he sat next to Emma.
“And by the way, Emma you look pretty” Jack one of Kelvin’s friends interrupted. Emma smiled when others started complimenting on how pretty Emma looked in her red dress.
“So…” Kelvin woke her voice, ignoring others.
“Well, I’m not an expert on this stuff. So let me get this straight. I think it’s time to take another step in our relationship”
Kelvin sunk down on one knee in front of Emma and reached to one of his pocket. He opened a little jewelry box while others stared at him. Inside it was a beautiful ring with a diamond perched on to it.
“Emma will you marry me” Kelvin asked in a gentle way.
Emma could see Kelvin watching her as she sat on her seat with absolute silence. Kelvin looked around as she felt her disappointed silence.
Emma knew everyone’s eyes were at her.
“No” Emma looked away as she spilled the word.
Mouths fell open, they stared at Emma silently.
“What?” Kelvin asked fiercely.
Rachel started whispering with Justin with perplexed expressions on their faces. Kelvin stood up with an angry look.
“I’m sorry Kelvin. I can’t marry you. I don’t want to marry you” Emma spoke in a low voice.
“What do you mean?” Kelvin replied through gritted teeth. “What’s going on” Justin jumped in as Emma shared a pleaded look with Kelvin.
“I know this is hard you for you Kelvin but I can’t do this anymore”
“Do what? Everything was perfect in between us till you that stupid idea about Wennington” Kelvin complained burning with anger.
“Nothing was perfect Kelvin, it never was. It’s just that I took so long to realize it that nothing’s been perfect between and when I realized I've gone too far. I know there are things you and I shared in common. But that’s not enough. Insulting my job is not perfection; Telling me I’m immature is not perfection. Perfection is understanding each other’s differences and respecting them. It’s called love. Love is respect; it is the care we need to have for each other. That’s what I always wanted from you. A little more care and some respect. If caring and respecting sounds immature to you then listen, I love being immature!” Emma finally shouted.
Kelvin crossed his arms, looked nervous beneath the tough exterior.
“You’re causing embarrassment for both of us. I took this extreme measure because I trusted you.” Kelvin whispered slowly in anger.
“Who cares whether it’s embarrassing when you don’t get what you want” Emma said quietly, drained.
“What do you want Emma?” Justin interrupted.
“I want freedom” Emma said dismissively. _________________________________________________________________
“Do you miss Emmy?” Melanie asked as she sat next to Danny on Buttercup front yard.
“But it won’t matter to anyone” Danny said somberly.
“It would, if you tell her that you miss her” Melanie asked, eyes wide.
Danny gave a little laugh as he ran his fingers through his hair.
“She’s gone and she’s never coming back and it won’t matter anymore. She’s already getting married” Danny said quietly.
“She promised me to call, she’s the best sister in the whole world” She said blushing.
“Yes, she’s one of the best things ever happened to me” Danny said sighing slowly.
Danny thought hard. “I think she’s the only best thing ever happened to me”
“Emma?” Danny heard Melanie crying.
“Emma what?” Danny leaned towards Melanie waiting for an answer.
“No that’s Emma. I see Emma. Look Danny, its Emma!” Melanie’s hands went flying in the air as she jumped.
Danny looked at the narrow path and his mouth wide opened with what he saw.
All he could see was a tall lean, curly haired girl walking slowly through the narrow path wearing jeans and a blue sleeveless top.
Danny and Melanie found themselves sprinting towards Emma with scowls.
“Emma?” Danny cried finally trying to catch his breathe.
“Hey” Emma said with gritted teeth. “My car broke and I had to walk a kilometer by my own.” Emma said breathing hard. “My clothes, my everything’s in the car, so I need help”
Danny gasped. “What? Wait, clothes?”
Danny seemed slightly shell shocked.
“Of course silly, you bring everything when you move in”
“Just wait, I don’t understand. What’s going on” Danny exclaimed.
“Emmy’s back. Emmy’s back?” Melanie cried as she understood everything.
“That’s true Mel. Now can you please get Jason and Nevil to get my car back?” Emma said trying sound calm.
“Why? Why do you come back?” Danny snapped in when Melanie ran towards the house.
“Do you want to know why?” Emma said casually. Danny nodded.
“Because, this is my home and I have every right to live here” Emma urged.
Danny stared away hurt with Emma’s words.
“Also I didn't want to see you hooking up with another girl when I’m pregnant with your child...” Emma added.
Emma couldn't help laughing as she saw Danny raising his eyebrows.
Danny saw that Emma wanted him to be mad at her for her joke, yet he couldn't stop smiling.
“Is that why you really came?” Danny laughed.
Danny stopped laughing as Emma touched his face softly.
“I’m sorry Danny” Emma swallowed.
“It took me a while to realize everything…”
“It’s okay Emma” He said softly.
“But you didn't tell me the reason why you came back” He asked cheekily and smiled again.
“Stop acting like you don’t know” Emma slapped Danny’s hand.
“Know what?” Danny asked with a curious look on his face.
“Stop it Danny, you know I came back because of you” Emma sounded incredulous.
“You came back because of me, because I’m your child’s father” Danny laughed.
“I came back because of you, because I love you!” Emma cried pushing Danny away.
“Oh come here” Danny whispered as he pulled Emma closer to him.
“I just wanted to hear it from you. It sounds romantic in that way” Danny said sounding relieved.
Emma laughed and hugged him tighter. “So do you still have feelings for me Danny” She wanted to know.
Danny put a serious look on his face as he went “No, I fell in love with Melanie and we’re getting married tomorrow”
Emma bit his nose. “Owwww” Danny cried. “Go easy mother Dracula”
Emma shrugged and laughed.
“What about Kelvin and London?” Danny wanted to know. “Well, Kelvin proposed me and I said no. He slopped away with his clique and I didn't see him again. I sold my crummy apartment, I left my job and I made a few calls. I think I’ll be starting my new job at the Wennington as a writer.”
“You did all that for me Emma?” Danny asked cupping her face. Emma nodded.
“Do you love me?” Danny was unsure.
“Yes, I do” Emma’s eyes twinkled. Danny stroked Emma’s neck and kissed her softly on the mouth. They didn't care that half of the Buttercup farm were staring at them with opened mouths. Nothing else mattered, because they were crazy about each other
